Strength and Conditioning is paramount to sport.

The body needs to be seen as a vehicle that when correctly built, maintained and tuned will produce and improve performance.

The debate on stretching is often very animated.
 
Debate is healthy because it encourages and promotes the idea of study and highlights just how subjective some of the decisions taken in sport need to be due to the individualistic nature of the participants.
 
What is strength?
 
 
The need for a strong core and solid foundation is essential to the introduction of Strength and Conditioning.
 
The foundation for progression begins with body exercises.
 
 
It is important to recognise the use of weights for sport. This is NOT weightlifting it is resistance training.
 
 
Once strength is introduced to the body it is vital to be able to apply that strengh in the correct way in order to produce the performance.
 
Working plyometrics will introduce this application to the body whilst adding specific movement patterns.
